The viewer’s columns stop drifting
On wide displays the two-column layouts sat centred in a gutter that grew with the window, and at some widths the diff got less room than it had in one column.
The overview and walkthrough columns were centred inside the content pane, so on a wider display the content drifted away from the navigation rail, which stayed pinned left. They now share the rail’s left edge, and the leftover space banks to the right, the way documentation layouts do.
Two breakpoints were wrong by arithmetic. The walkthrough split turned on at 1024px, which left the diff 232px, narrower than the single column it replaced; it now waits for 1280px, where the diff gets about 520. And the prose column was sticky from 1024px while the split started at 1280, so in between it would have pinned itself over the diff.
Also
- •No sideways scroll on narrow screens. The masthead’s background grid bled past the page edge below 864px, which became 24px of horizontal scroll at exactly 768.
- •The docs match the tools again. The distillation diagram and the tool tables had drifted after five tools were added and two moved to the orchestrator.
